Kuhl "JIFFY-WAY" egg scale | The design of this egg scale is in the name of Paul K. Boutiette from Manchaug in Massachusetts, U.S.A.. The design is protected by an American Design Patent US D569,751S on May 27, 2008. The application dates from May 18, 2007. The term of the patent is fourteen years. The nine patent figures clearly represent the final egg scale. The brightly colored egg-shaped measuring scale indicates the egg weights per piece and per dozen in ounces. In addition, there are five weight classes Peewee, Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large. The indication for the Jumbo weight class is missing. The measuring scale also indicates the egg weights in grams and in the European egg weight classes S, M, L and XL. The scale should be placed as horizontally as possible. The egg scale has an adjustment screw in the bottom short lever to limit the range of movement if desired and to weigh more quickly. A white chicken egg scale has been shown previously, see the white chicken, and also a red chicken, see here. | back of the egg scale |
