letter scale or postal balance by Narcisse Briais

This letter balance comes from France and bears the N.B. logo of Narcisse Briais. This logo was not only used by him but also by his successors, for more information see for example here. The balance arms have beautiful circle cutouts. The supports of the plates also have a closed circle. Most balances with free weights in recesses on the wooden base will have one or more of the weights missing. This copy comes with three weights: 100, 50, and 10 grams. Weights of 2½, 5, and 30 grams are probably missing here, see for example this balance, also made by Briais.
The wooden base measures 21 by a maximum of 12 centimeters. The plateau for the weights is 5 cm round, the oval letter plate is 8.5 by 6.5 cm. The balance is 10.5 cm high.
Below are some more images of this letter balance from Narcisse Briais.
