Jakob Maul paper scale | This paper scale of Jakob Maul from Zell in Germany is similar to previously shown paper scales, see this, this, or this one. Characteristics of this Jakob Maul paper scale are: the screw for the fine adjustment; the lever to secure the scale parts during transport; the hinged fold-out stand; the metal clamping strip with the templates; and the wooden storage box also serving as a basis for the stand. The paper scale has two pairs of templates for cutting off pieces of paper in standardized sizes, 8x5 of 5x4 centimeters. I don't know the exact period of this paper scale. The JM logo on this scale was used in the period from 1912 to 1983. | weighing a paper sample |
